INSULATION AND ACOUSTICS
Wooden shutters not only offer elegance and style, they are also extremely functional. Thanks to the natural insulating ability of wood, shutters keep the heat out in summer and provide cosy warmth in winter. Moreover, the wood and the semi-circular shape of the slats help to improve room acoustics.
OPERATING OPTIONS:
-Vertical operating bar on the front of the slats.
– Hidden control, Silent View: in this system, the vertical control rod is completely omitted. The control is subtly integrated in the side post, allowing you to easily turn the slats by hand into the desired position without anything being visible.
– Concealed control in 2 or more sections. Allows you to move a group of slats instead of all slats at once.
– Control stick, is also possible. Go for a horizontal intermediate connection so you can operate the top and bottom slats separately. This intermediate connection is necessary for panels higher than 190cm to prevent the shutter from sagging.
Tip: Do you want to create even more leeway with light? Consider splitting the slats for optimal tilting freedom. For example, you can close the bottom section and leave the top section open.
OPENING OR CLOSING SHUTTER PANELS?
- Hinged panels each folding away to one side.
- Switched panels that fold away to one side. You can link 2 or more panels together, reducing the amount of space they enter when opened.
- Folding rail: switched panels that are folded over a rail. Ideal for easy operation of tall and wide shutters.
- Manual removal (the panel has no hinge and can be removed completely from the window, e.g. to clean the windows).
MAINTENANCE & CLEANING
Dust can sometimes fall on your window coverings. While we don’t have magic wands to wipe it away, below are a few handy tips to remove dirt easily and quickly from your shutters and/or blinds. Shutters are extremely low-maintenance. Dust and light dirt can be wiped away effortlessly with a swiffer. For more stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth. Be careful not to use aggressive cleaning agents, as these can damage the paintwork. The easiest and fastest way to clean the shutter blinds is to close them and wipe both sides. Then turn the slats over and repeat the procedure on both sides. This way, you don’t have to clean the slats one by one.
